In this session, participants will take part in a fishbowl discussion on the theme of Grades: Beyond the Score. Some of the questions will include What’s the point of grades? How do grades affect you? How would you reshape the system of grading? What do you wish teachers/students understood about your experience of grading/being graded? We will run one round of discussion with students while teachers watch and one round with teachers while students watch, then invite all those present to debrief, discuss takeaways, and close the session. This fishbowl will be a safe space to communicate your ideas and learn about others’ perspectives on issues that you care about.
